Easter Potluck

Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 | Food, Friends

Massive success.

Thanks to the hearty contributions of savoury from Anna and sweet from Elina and GabrielÄ—, we were treated to a rich variety of treats from across Europe. I would have taken some pictures but thanks to the Instragram-generation, you’re now a complete dick if you take a photo of your food.

Instead, here is a picture of a hamster:

Easter Sunday at Humanist Community

Sunday, April 4th, 2010 | Foundation

This morning we held out “Easter Sunday” event at the Humanist Community of Leeds. The day started with Chris talking to BBC Radio Leeds about the event though given so many people were spending time with their family this weekend we were expecting a fairly low turn out.

It was quite a shock then when we got such a turnout, though certainly a pleasant one! The discussions were great, the feedback was positive and Sunday lunch was as enjoyable as ever. Roll on our May meeting!

Easter weekend

Monday, April 13th, 2009 | Life

It’s Easter, holiday time! Those beautiful extra long weekends where we can all relax and take some time off work.

Well, almost.

I got called into work on Friday for a meeting which took up most of my daytime though I was home a few hours earlier than I would have been if I had been at work as normal which was nice.

Saturday I was working as Normal. Given we now open until 1am however it was a rather late one so I didn’t end up getting home until well after 5am and didn’t end up getting to bed until 6.

Sunday I went back to work to cover someone’s shift which turned out to be just as long as Saturday nights though I did get home a bit earlier. Working Sunday also pushed everything else back so I’m now working today as well. Fun times.
