I know as a student I should stop spending a crazy-ass amount of money on pointless crap but it’s not going to be easy. I mean, they give me my own postal address for deliveries and a student bank account with £1,000 overdraft – that’s just asking for trouble!
I’m tempted to get a DVD to celebrate my transition into uni. After all, everyone feels down and homesick when they first move out and my comfort is DVDs. Well Dawson’s Creek to be exact but I have the first 5 series and series 6 isn’t available yet.
So I’m thinking about buying a DVD after I have re-assessed my financial situation (if I realise I have plenty or very little then I’m going to pass but if I have just enough then I see it as my last spending spree before I become a pennyless student :P) although that means that I have to pick one, always a difficult decision. I used to keep a huge list of DVDs I wanted but I got rid of it to remove the temptation ;).
I don’t have a shopping problem! Just thought I would clear anything up about that. Ok, I may have a problem buying domains. But I keep it managable. I may not need them but I can afford them. Anyway, I don’t have to justify myself to you! Leave me alone dammit.
Ok, so back on track. I’m toying with which ones to get based on what is on sale on Play and, also, to a lower extent, what I actually want ;). My ideas include:
- X-Files series 1 (£27)
- OC series 1 (£31)
- OC series 2 (£33)
- Fraiser series 4 (£25)
- Everybody Loves Raymond series 2 (£18)
- Charmed series 1(£45)
- Red Dwarf series 2 (£13)
- So Little Time volume 4 (£10)
Those are just some ideas. Actually, some of them, particularly anything like £45 is more wish list than possible list. But hey, I have a birthday coming up. I might add a Sopranos series to the list or finish off my Father Ted collection. Though I’m really tempted by The O.C. boxsets. What can I say, I love teen dramas.
