On Saturday we went to Tropical World. It was our last chance to go before the close for a month for refurbishment. The fact that we had not been for a year before that was irrelevant. We had to get there in time!

All hail the Christmas Octopus.

We might not have a bed, but at least we have a good doormat.

In October, we launched Sunday Assembly Leeds with the help of London-founder Sandison Jones. 120 people turned out for the event as well as BBC Look North, BBC Radio 4 and plenty of other media too. We held it in the beautiful St John the Evangelist’s Church next to the St John’s Centre (surprisingly).

Yes, it’s real.

Jacksonville is in Florida, so their cheerleaders probably aren’t used to British temperatures. Indeed, they had to put coats on half way through.

On our way down to London, we stopped off in Daventry to visit family. There are a couple of reservoirs nearby that I went for a walk around. Click for the full size panorama.
