We seem to be rapidly developing some kind of pub sandwich system for Sundays at the moment where we go to the pub, then go do something, then go back to pub.

We kicked Sunday off at the Scarborough Hotel for some lunch which was most enjoyable as their food always is. We did however have to suffer a random pricing structure though in which a pint of coke was charged at either £0.80, £1.20, £1.50 or £2.40 depending on when you went up. Crazy.

Once we had finished up here we headed over to the Leeds Museum before going for more drinks at the Cuthbert Brodrick where we eventually had dinner as well. We also found the almost resident Alex in there as well – she assured us she does leave sometimes but personally I’m not convinced.

Sunday lunch made a much welcome return today though continuing Michelle’s hate campaign against Wetherspoon’s we had to go down to the Scarborough Hotel which provided us with some very nice meals indeed though at the kind of price you have to be prepared to pay at town.

After a short break round the Armouries we then headed to Oracle which was quite nice though it was £2.80 for a pint of orange juice and on top of that the hot girl behind the bar then tried to short change me by a £1! A damning indictment of our education system (I hope).

Monday saw a meetup organised on RichardDawkins.net in Leeds. Of course, the last thing Leeds actually needs is yet another splinter group for the whole free thinking movement but sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

The turnout was quite good, 15-20 people for just a pub meetup and the first time it had been done too. Myself and Rich basically just spent the entire night name dropping having recently attended the AHS press launch.

It also turns out that the Scarborough Hotel is quite a nice pub. You learn something new every day.
