Headed home on Wednesday night and decided to swing by my parents to pick up some mail. I ended up staying for dinner as our Canadian visitors, Diane & Nick had been preparing a huge stew so we ended up with a dozen or so of us crammed round the dining room table enjoying a rather nice meal.

I say crammed, my parents being quite so middle class have quite a large dining room table so it wasn’t that cramped lol. I really should make an effort to go home to the parents for dinner every so often though – it’s the only time I get fresh vegetables 😀 .

As part of appeasing my mum as is the tradition on Mothering Sunday I joined my family for a visit up to Hartlepool to visit my sister who is at university up there and had offered to host the day’s celebratings by cooking a meal. As predicted it was quite boring. But they do have a nice church.
