This domain was expired a long ago and was not renewed in time that why the domain is under extended to redemption period. You can not renew / register the domain now until it will be dropped from registry database.

“Expired a long ago” – that’s not even close to grammatically correct. In fact it appears to be entirely missing the word time.
But that’s just a dig, that’s not the point (a fair dig anyway as they are a business). The point is I raised this issue weeks ago and they have taken now to sort it (well, they didn’t really sort it at all). If it had been dealt with back then I probably wouldn’t be in this situation.
