Finally, I have my internet access back! Yesterday was not a pretty day – dial up from a mobile is not cool. 9.6k and that’s withstanding the cost. The whole taking days to get access thing is shit as you want to blog about your experiances straight away.
Obviously everyone hates it until like Christmas which is shit but there have been some cool moments. It’s amazing how fast you build up confidence.
Sunday I was scared to talk to anyone (I’m a nerd, I have a right to that). But we all went down to the union and it was good. By Monday I ventured down to the intro party on my own, got talking to a guy named Olli and spent the entire night crusing around with him looking for people to chat to. And this is me we are talking about!
But then again, when you have a place filled with so many attractive women I was bound to. I’m suprised we don’t get more Leeds Met students in our union as theirs is a big pile of crap whereas Leeds Uni Union is the best in the country (you better believe it ;)).
Mine, the new space with all the cool acts still isn’t open yet though so right now we only have 5 bars. Still, I’m hoping it will be completed too and for the moment, Bar Coda are hosting some indie rock this Friday. Plus it’s £1.50 for an alcopop which isn’t bad considering the normal price.
