Just released a new course: Couples Counselling using Systemic Family Therapy. Helping couples is a different process to individual psychotherapy as there are two sets of needs and emotions to manage, but also that the relationship itself has emergent properties that need to be handled. Systemic therapy provides that underlying theory that we need to make it work.

In my new course, we will explore the programme step-by-step understanding what MBCT is, how it works, and what the programme looks like including practical exercises to try and do.

Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy looking at cognition. While Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) traditionally looks at what we think, MCT looks at how we think. It explores meta-beliefs such as needing to worry to keep ourselves safe, whether change is possible, and whether thoughts can be harmful.

When we understand the neural systems that lead us to engage in these cycles of worry and self-doubt, we can give the client (or ourselves) new processes to avoid engaging in these unhelpful patterns.

Metacognitive Therapy is highly effective at reducing worry and rumination and proven to reduce anxiety, PTSD, OCD and depression. In this course, we will learn what MCT is, how it works, how to use it in practice and how to apply it to each condition.

Person-Centred Counselling is one of the most widespread counselling modalities and asks the question “what kind of relationship can I provide to help another person?”

Online Mindfulness School has launched its first yoga teacher training. It’s an introductory level course rather than a 200-hour course, but would be excellent prep for the latter.

Four years ago I launched Worfolk Anxiety and since then I’ve trained tens of thousands of students via my online mental health courses. Worfolk Anxiety Management is still a key brand but of course, there is much more to mental health and wellbeing than anxiety and my current range of courses reflects that.
