While my photography skills are far too amateur for me to call myself an amateur photographer, on reviewing the photos I got back from London I was quite pleased to find that some of them turned out quite interesting, particularly those where I had managed a short depth of field utterly blurring everything but the focal points.

A few months ago I finally got round to buying digital photography for dummies to give me a quick grounding on the basics of all the various settings that my camera has. I haven’t had a great deal of time to play with them but last weekend provided me with a few opportunities such as playing around with the exposure time while snapping the various waterfalls.
