Last night (she said?)

I started yesterday by realising at 11:10 while I was laying around in bed I had to be in town at 12 for a meeting. It was to talk over plans for my next film project though it didn’t go as well as I had hoped. After putting some thought into current plans I don’t think the idea is going anywhere so I’m reluctant to push forward with it.

I started work at 5 for what was going to be an interesting shift. It was the second day of the Robbie Williams concerts at Rounday Park so we were getting battered when I started for a few hours. Everyone came back after the concert too so while it wasn’t as busy as last night we were still serving till about 12:15-12:30 or something. We didn’t get out until 3:38 although importantly we beat last night’s close by 2 minutes :p.

Given that we weren’t as prepared as normal though as we left stuff out that would normally have been cleaned by this point to cope with the increased demand it wasn’t a particuarly bad close I don’t think. Plus I was running kitchen close for the first time – our staff for kitchen and dive consisted of myself, Charlotte and Harris, both of who knew less kitchen close than I did. I took both grills off too, go me, I’d never actually taken one off before last night.

I continue to realise how much I am going to miss work when uni starts again. Especially closes, I don’t really want to give them up though I’m not faced with any promising alternatives.
