Farewell to a man who changed the world.

Farewell to a man who changed the world.

Today, I’m proud to announce the launch of the Leeds Restaurant Guide. It is, in our opinion, the finest guide to restaurants in Leeds city centre that has ever been created. Years of relentless eating, reviewing and indexing have come together to provide a complete guide to where to eat in Leeds.
The book will be made available in e-book format through all major retailers – Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Ingram, Kobo, Google Play, OverDrive (Waterstones), Sony, WH Smith and Gardner’s (Tesco). It is also available online at LeedsRestaurantGuide.com. At a later date, it will be made available in print also.
It will be priced at a very reasonable £3.99. The exact time listings will appear on each retailer can’t be determined, so follow me on Twitter for updates.
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped with the book, especially Elina for her eating and proof reading, Gijsbert for his feedback and advice, and James, Norm and Michelle for their proof reading.
Tomorrow, Worfolk Media will launch its first publication, the Leeds Restaurant Guide. This is a comprehensive review of all 188 restaurants and food pubs in the city centre. The book will be available initially in e-book format, and later in print, as well as being online.
The book will be made available through all major retailers and full details will be announced in our full launch announcement at 9am tomorrow morning. Check back here for those details.

Today, CWF is proud to announce the launch of a brand new project launching this September, Anxiety Leeds.
This new self help group will be open to everyone who suffers from panic attacks, anxiety or any other related mental health difficulties and will provide peer led discussions and support for anyone who chooses to attend.
The group’s first meeting will take place in September 2013 and will be monthly, with a view to increase this is the service is popular. More details and a mailing list for updates can be found on their website. Anyone with experience of working with anxiety related issues or training in the area is also welcome to volunteer as a meeting coordinator. Please contact us for further details about this.
We would like to thank Leeds Mind and Leeds City Council for their support of the project.
This morning, we released the first of at least three new podcasts that will be going out over the coming weeks. The first one looks at PRISM, the US surveillance programme of which details were leaked by former analyst Edward Snowden.
Head over to the podcast page to listen.

James Gandolfini, best known for his role as gangster Tony Soprano, passed away aged just 51, from a suspected heart attack. A Sopranos marathon is definitely in order.

For better, or for worse, she will never be forgotten. Still Britain’s only female prime minister, and the most successful prime minster of the twentieth century.

I’m pleased to announce the relaunch of Authority Forums.
Founded in 2005, AF tracks the biggest message boards and forums on a particular topic. So, for example, if you wanted to find out what the biggest Futurama fan forum on the internet was, you would browse to Futurama where you can see each forum ranked according to size, with graphs and historical stats available too.
Over the past month the site has been re-built from the ground up to be faster and easier to use, the design has been overhauled so that it looks much pretty and all the content has been updated too – as you can imagine, over seven years a lot of forums close down and new ones open, so we’ve taken care of all of that.
Following the recent launch of our first Swedish language site, Worfolk 18 is pleased to announce the launch of its first Finnish language site too – Alastomat Kotirouvat.
