On Thursday I hosted a New Year’s Eve midnight dinner party which seemed to go down a storm. It just goes to show that cooking while intoxicated, even to the level where you can’t string a sentence together, it is safe and successful idea.

Saturday saw Atheist Society’s legendary (as if any of our events aren’t ) Halloween party, hosted by our el presidente Sophie. It was a great night which ended in us performing a Satanic ritual which seems a bit on the edge but is really quite mild compared to the fact that Zoltan was dressed as the prophet Muhammad .

By Wednesday evening Lil had been up for over 24 hours having worked nights on Tuesdays and then fueled herself up on Relentless. Or crack, it’s hard to tell the difference when someone the size of Lil drinks an entire can of Relentless. As we haven’t seen the can, or the crack, whichever one it actually was, I guess we’ll never know.

So the obvious thing to do in this situation was to head over to Nicola’s 09/09/09 party celebrating the fact it was the 9th of September 2009 – an idea she had only made up the night before while drunk at the A-Soc social and had just invited “very special friends” to despite the fact that there were over 70 people on the Facebook guest list.

As inspiration to get the house sorted within a reasonable timescale we scheduled our housewarming for two weeks from moving in, which arrived on Friday. The evening included a reasonably enjoyable (though certainly cheap at least) Chinese takeaway meal followed by drinks and dancing long into the night. Good times.

I headed over to Nicola’s for what was loosely to be described as Sarah’s leaving party. I say loosely because I don’t really know Sarah and I only just saw her at the party – she arrived just as I was heading out the door.

Never the less it was an interesting evening. Basically Nicola just spend the whole time getting berrated for not knowing anything about her degree subject. Good times .

Saturday was our long awaited awesome house party. Well, I say “awesome”, I wasn’t actually there because it had finished and everyone was asleep by the time I got there. What a rager.

Because of the general fray of Wednesday night, a lot of people were unable to make our now infamous new year’s eve party and so we decided to stage another, much more relaxed gathering on the Thursday night instead.

After a quick explanation of the walk in fridge (our conservatory doesn’t have any heating) and a short tour of the house we settled in for a few drinks and a bit of music as Charlotte and Felix battled each other to see who could make the worst DJ .

Oh. My. God.

Last night was a strange night. Luckily I wasn’t the only one not drinking and so I had Si, as well as Fonze and Sophie, to keep me company in the sober corner. I had some quite good few chats, particuarly while outside where Kieran was kindly sharing out some fine Cuban cigars.

Michelle probably had the wildest night, reaching new heights in appropriate text messages which I shall not discuss here. I will discuss however the events that followed, namely Michelle hooking up with Greg and the two spending the night together (despite Michelle’s attempt to hide him when Sarann and Liz arrived at the door). I have no idea what happened while they were in the bedroom together though given Michelle’s antics at last year’s new year’s celebrations, I think we can all imagine the general trend of activities!

Sarann was determind to prove that I am massively unhappy and that this emotional state could be altered in some way, explaining that she would “do anything” and adding that “I won’t tell Moz” so who knows what the offer entailed.

The night some what culminated in a semi-naked communal shower involving Norm, Michelle, Sarann, Greg, Nicola, Miriam and Anne which resulted in Michelle smashing up the bathroom and causing water to come pouring through the lounge ceiling. Suprisingly enough such trouble can be traced back to Miss Jackson who as well as smashing her way through the usual glasses also managed to smash up some plates too.

The morning after was the usual plan – down to the Deer Park for some Recovery Steak because it is always a good idea. Everyone was feeling a little worse for wear though luckily I have all day to recover before my next party!

Having driven back up to Leeds on Saturday we set about preparing for a house party of our own to celebrate Liz and Sarann’s birthday (to which the latter is today, happy birthday Sarann!). As to be expected it was a night of drunk antics enjoyed by all who attended.

Importantly, the night included chicken. Kate mentioned that her Nando’s voucher, from when she found a brain in her chicken, expired in a few days so we headed over to Nando’s to get some take-out, which it turns out, they do indeed do.

It seems to be becoming somewhat of a tradition to go out and get chicken as our previous house party saw myself and Kieran disappear off to get KFC. I have to say, it’s a tradition I could certainly get used to.

Having escaped work at about 1:30 I headed over to Sophie and Jon’s house party which was still in full swing. What I found was an orgy of drinking, sex and hedonism the like of which only atheists can truely practice.

Liz making out with random boys, Michelle making out with random girls, everyone drinking some kind of mixture that looked far too much like sewage water and all of this culminating in a human pyramid which made for some excellent pictures.
