More RegisterFly issues

They responded to my orginal support ticket solving one of the three issues, so I’ve just replied with…

Hi,

I’ve renewed the domain but when I try updating the nameservers for AntiChav.com I get…

Error:
We were unable to update the DNS for this domain name. The errors returned were [error:NullPointerException]

Also AngelDrive.com is still listed as having an expiration date of 2006 in my account even though the whois records say 2007.

Also could you please confirm the status of TradeConfederacy.com and HotMiniBikinis.com as they are listed as renewed on the whois but are not listed in my account.

Their system is just so poor. I’ve just discovered an email saying one of my domains failed to renew but there is no way to edit my support ticket.

Tell me if they help you fix your error:NullPointerException because I’ve got the same problem with them right now. I can’t update a clients advanced dns settings because they can’t seem to fix their own problems.

Good Luck - And please tell me if you get it figured out!

    Thanks,

Well there’s nothing we can do really other than hounding RegisterFly to fix the problems. That and if you want to make changes, submit a trouble ticket and get them to make the changes for you.

Although the best advice I can give you is to move registrars.

I feel bad that you all are having problems, but am comforted (slightly) by the fact that I am not the only one experiencing these problems. I’ve been on the phone with registerfly most of last week and way too much of this weekend trying to get a domain I own renewed. I renewed it on 3/31 and according to them the renewal is still going through. Unfortunately the domain expired on 4/3/06. Along with it expiring my dns settings, etc were all lost. Now I have no domain based email nor an accesible website for the domain in question. I’ve really had it with the lack of customer service and competence from this company. I’m looking into other registrar options, but unfortunately I can’t even transfer this goofed up domain until the problems get straightened out.

I would recommend you try NameCheap. I’ve had a great experiance with them so far and most of my other friends with plenty of domains are saying the same thing.

I feel your pain. You can read my rant here. I am not sure why I stayed with registerfly. I began moving my domains to my hosting company. Although they charge 25 bucks a year. They are local and respond to my issues faster then Registerfly and responses that make sense not just a generic “Try again in 24 hours”.

You can learn more about GarageCoLocation.com Domain Registration here. The only thing I suggest is you contact RegisterFly ahead of time to get the AuthCode other then RRP. They are also denying the transfer to complete. They are making it hard for me to renew my domains that have expired. BLAH!
